| Turkish Bank Group, leaving behind a century old
banking tradition, is entering the new millenium with rekindled zest and vigour.
The Group has different banking priorities in the three different jurisdictions
it is active in. In Cyprus, under the name of Türk Bankası Ltd., it primarily
serves as a multi-branch retail bank; in Turkey under Turkish Bank A.Ş. as a private
bank, and in England under Turkish Bank (UK) Ltd. as a community bank.

An important differentiating characteristic of the Turkish Bank Group vis-a-vis
its Turkish competitors is its non-involvement in activities other than banking
and finance. In all important banking ratios such as liquidity, capital adequacy,
asset quality and profitability, the Group has a far better stand than its competitors.
